Midwest queens team up to serve 100+ families in need with over 10,000 baby items.
Four years ago, I had a dream to hold a FREE COMMUNITY BABY SHOWER. This event is available to anyone, for any reason, no questions asked. Just show up and shop, for FREE.
Autumn Kastein (Mrs. Galaxy International 2024, owner of Little Munchkins Resale Shop, Autumn’s Closet, and Autumn’s Pageant Closet) hosted the 4th annual Free Community Baby Shower along with the help of 30+ volunteers, including pageant queens from Illinois, Wisconsin, the Midwest…and beyond. It was a day of sisterhood, service, and the human spirit in action. Everyone who participated as a volunteer left that day with full hearts, and every community member who attended left with full arms and vehicles!
Within 4 hours, 102 families had been served with more than 10,000 FREE baby items — making a notable impact in the lives of families in Fond du Lac, WI (where the shower was held) and the surrounding areas.
Executing a charitable event of this magnitude takes a village of volunteers, massive preparation time, community outreach and participation, and thousands of donations including:
Diapers
Formula
Baby clothing
Toys
Books
Nursing equipment
Bedding
Blankets
Strollers
Bags/Boxes
Food/water for volunteers (Thanks, Mancinos of Fond du Lac!)

Autumn’s leadership, determination, tenacity, and incredible sense of both leveraging and serving her community is what makes this massive event of giving back possible each year. Moreover, her passion to bring other women into the experience to not only serve at THIS event, but to empower them to create events to give back in their OWN communities is truly admirable.
Seeing her work tirelessly behind the scenes and serve with fervor during this event leaves anyone fortunate enough to be in her presence and to call her friend extremely grateful. Without a doubt, this humble yet remarkable woman is TRULY…Queen of the Galaxy!
